Rev. Joyce Branch Mills
Rev. Joyce Branch Mills is a dynamic speaker, facilitator and preacher for workshops, seminars, retreats and conferences for both Women and Singles Ministries. She has preached and facilitated in various venues and conferences such as the National Single Adult Conference, the African American National Single’s Conference, Black Church Week in Ridgecrest North Carolina, and a revivalist in Dallas. She has been a Resident Fellow at B. H. Carroll Theological Institute where she taught and coordinated classes for their Houston campus. She worked eight and half years for American General Life Insurance Company, twelve years for Continental Airlines and twelve years as a staff minister for The Church Without Walls, where Dr. Ralph Douglas is pastor/founder. As staff minister, she was responsible for a diverse group of ministries including College, Marriage, Singles, Senior’s, Scholarship and Women. Her responsibilities were teaching, administration and all aspects of ministry for these groups. She is an English teacher for Houston Independent School District.
Rev. Mills organized J.B.M Ministries. She serves a Spiritual Advisor to a little league football team and cheerleader parent group. She is also a Spiritual advisor to bikers. Under J.B.M. Ministries, she finds Thanksgiving meals for families in need and has offered grief care to families experiencing loss. She currently holds the office of President for Philia Works, Inc.
As a seasoned preacher, Rev. Mills accepted her call to ministry in 1994 and, is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where she earned a degree in theology and a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education. She has also earned a certification in Hermeneutics and Homiletic from Georgetown College and completed a two year Preaching Intensive at Truett Seminary. Rev. Mills is the proud mother of two adult daughters and a proud grandmother.
Sheretta M. West
Sheretta M. West …is known for her faith, prayer-life and courage. Sheretta is the First Lady of The Church Without Walls. She serves as the ministry leader for the Mosaic Women’s Ministry, The Diamonds in the Rough – mentoring program for teen girls, and the Ralph Douglas West Ministries. She is Editor of the Mosaic, a women’s magazine that is also a publication of The Church Without Walls. Sheretta is co-founder of Pamper, Pray and Play, a spiritual gathering that meets the unique needs of Pastor and Minister Spouses. She is the founder of Charmingly Pink Breast Cancer Foundation, a 501 (c) 3, a non-profit charitable organization supporting breast cancer research, education, early detection and life-saving treatments. Sheretta added author to her list of accomplishments in her recent publication, Order My Steps – Learning to walk the path that’s order by God is a bible study for women. She has received numerous awards: Inspire Woman of Influence, Top 25 Women of Houston, One of Houston’s Leading First Ladies, Legacy Award, Congressional Recognition and other honors for her community and ministry involvement. Sheretta received a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) in Computer Information Systems from the University of Houston.
Lady Robbin L. Criswell
Lady Robbin L. Criswell is a servant, minister, prayer warrior, teacher, encourager, author and most importantly a child of God. Lady Criswell is the proud first lady of Fifth Ward Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Tx, where she serves under the leadership of Pastor/Husband Timothy Criswell. Pastor Criswell and Lady Robbin along with the Fifth Ward congregation are fully committed to Love, Hope and Healing.
Lady Criswell wears many “hats” she serves in the Women’s Chorus, Youth Sunday School Teacher, Lambs Of God praise dance ministry leader and leads forth the Women In Ministry a.k.a Women Of FAITH. Lady Criswell is a spirit-filled motivational speaker, a prophetic praise dancer, and mentor who is anointed and filled with the Holy Ghost. Lady Criswell is also an author she birthed a Inspirational Devotional “Good Morning Holy Spirit”, a 40-day devotional that will help usher you in the presence of the Holy Ghost; for she firmly believes the way you start your morning commands your day. In December 2018 the holy spirit gave Lady Criswell and Pastor Criswell their first ministry outside of the four walls of the church entitled R.E.A.L.~ Ready to Empower Anointed Lives. A ministry that embraces men and women right where they are and empowers individuals to live anointed lives, while dealing with R.E.A.L. life situations, issues and circumstances. In the midst of a pandemic Lady Criswell birth her 1st ministry CoverGirls Interceding Sister’s on her 50th birthday July 1, 2020 a ministry for CoverGirls of all ages. The ministry Embraces, Impacts and Empowers CoverGirls right where they are through scripture that sustains them in every area of their life, with Love, Confidence and Assurance that they are constantly being covered in prayer. Within CoverGirls Interceding Sisters a second book was birth with the advisory council entitled “Our CRY Continues….
Lady Criswell loves her family and is so thankful the Lord blessed her and Pastor Criswell with two beautiful children Timothy Criswell, II and Emily Criswell. Embracing, Encouraging and Empowering women are three essential aspects of Lady Criswell’s Christian journey, for she believes shared stories build a relational bridge that Jesus can walk across from her heart to others. Lady Criswell stands on Jeremiah 29:11 “I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord. They are plans for peace and not disaster plans to give you a future filled with hope. ” (GW)
Doris Childress, a native Houstonian, has been part of the Houston television scene since 1993. As a journalist and TV Host, she has won several national and international awards. Childress served as host for the Emmy Award-winning WeekDay, and Weeknight Edition shows on Houston PBS from 1995 to 2002. In 2007 she took over the anchor chair
for Houston Public Media’s the connection Public Affairs show. She hosted and produced Texas’ only statewide legislative show – the Capitol Report. In the spirit of PBS, Childress has produced several documentaries covering local issues and international topics. Her documentary work has taken her abroad to such destinations as Israel, Zurich, and Taiwan.
In 1994 Childress graduated from the University of North Texas, receiving her Master of Arts in television and film. The documentary film became her area of concentrated study. As a skilled journalist,
she interviewed prominent newsmakers such as Colin Powell, Bill Moyers, President Bush, President Carter, and the Vice President of Taiwan –Annette Lu to name a few.
Before her PBS career, she served as a reporter/anchor for the Central Texas CBS affiliate- KBTX. While at KBTX, Childress became the featured reporter for the station’s Nightside Report. KDFW in Dallas, Texas, was the starting ground for her television career. In her years of broadcasting experience, Childress has received such broadcasting awards as The National Gracie Award, five Academy of Arts and Science Television Regional Emmy Awards, the International Telly Award, PBS-SECA, Houston Press Club Awards, and numerous community acknowledgments.
Her 2000 AWRT National Gracie recognition named Childress – Outstanding Anchor representing major markets nationally.
In the community, Childress has worked with the Open-Door Mission and the Liberation Project. She is presently a board member for the Liberation project in Fort Bend County (a youth intervention and prevention program). Childress also served on the Noah’s Ark of Safety Foundation board, an outreach program for sexually abused children. She was appointed to the Board of Trustees at Lon Morris College. She has served on the Southminster School Board and an executive member of the Wesley Academy School Board. Doris currently works as a free- lance journalist. Currently, Childress is a visiting professor at Texas Southern University, fulfilling her dream to ben an educator.
She is an active member of the Covenant Glen Church, working in community outreach, children’s ministry, and communications. She happily married and is the proud mother of two amazing young women.
First Lady Regina Allen
First Lady Regina Allen, is a native of Houston, Texas, she is the wife of Pastor David Allen, Jr., Senior Pastor of Christ Temple Apostolic Church since February 20, 2010; the mother of three beautiful children, David Allen, III, Jonathan Allen (Daughter-in-law, Jennifer; a grandson, Joshua and granddaughter, Juliana), and daughter, Meagan Allen.
Lady Regina is an outgoing individual full of personality; definitely a “peoples person. ” She accepted the Lord at an early age of seventeen and made Christ Temple Apostolic Church her church home for forty-two years, where she has served faithfully in the Hospitality Ministry, as Kid’s Church Director for twelve years, Outreach Ministry, Adjutant, and other leadership roles where she has provided leadership, mentorship, counseling and love and support.
Lady Regina strives to be a Godly example – a woman who has surrendered her life to do God’s will. She has a heart for women, and is now Director of the CTAC Victorious Women’s’ Ministry and Administrative support for CTAC as well as a helpmate to her husband in ministry. She’s an advocate for Women of Domestic Violence, and has been a help to many women transitioning in life. She served four years as the Texas State Council Executive Assistant to pass President- Lady Arlene Young of the Texas State Council Minister’s Wives’ and Minister’s Widows’ Auxiliary: joyfully served as her adjutant for eight years, and now serve as the President of the auxiliary.
Lady Regina also has connected with various non-profit organizations (Social Good in Action, SAFE Diversity – working with children with unique abilities, Fresh Spirit – Domestic Violence, and Naomi’s House – Women who are transitioning into mainstream society from incarceration.
Lady Regina has worked in the HISD and SISD District for twenty years; she worked with the SISD Board on the Bonds Committee and the Parents’ of Minority Students; she still has a passion for children.
After graduating from the Smiley High School, she attended San Jacinto Junior College, North Harris Junior College, and the College of Biblical Studies. Her desire is to continue to work on her degree plan in Administration and in Theology.
Lady Regina is excited about life and walking in the favor of God; she looks forward to more opportunities to serve God’s people.
Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord,” plans to prosper from you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Debra F. Bell
Debra F. Bell is a licensed minister, motivational speaker, and owner of P3 Coaching & Consulting, where she works as a professional Life and Career coach. Currently Debra serves at The Church Without Walls as part of the leadership team for the Kerygma Ministry (Preachers Team). At TCWW she also facilitates classes for the Mosaic Women’s Ministry and Christian Education. Debra has worked in both the public and private sectors of the marketplace.
Currently she works at Houston Baptist University as Assistant Director of Career Services. Debra’s primary work has been providing coaching services to professionals and executives in career transition; planning retreats for women and recently starting a Mentoring/Coaching Membership Group for Women Over 50 called PowHerFul Over 50.
Her work experience includes serving on two local Church Staffs; The Church Without Walls (Ralph D. West Sr., Pastor) and Kainos Community Church(during the tenure of Pastors Yolande Herron-Palmore and Joe Palmore).
Debra has acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree, a Master of Divinity Degree, and a Masters Degree in Management & Entrepreneurship. Debra is a Certified Resume Writer, and Certified Life Coach, Teacher, and Speaker through John Maxwell Team. Debra has one daughter, Eakita Minor-Hobbs and two sons Quincy Minor-Scott and Philip K. Minor. And 3 Grandchildren.
Rev. Dr. Jacquie Hood Martin, PhD
Rev. Dr. Jacquie Hood Martin, PhD, is a full-time servant leader and a woman “with a yielded Spirit.” Hood Martin inspires people to action with her matter-of-fact teaching and leadership style. As owner of the professional development non-profit, J. Hood & Associates “A Life Management Firm™, she offers a range of strategic planning, professional development, and community engagement activations across a spectrum of industries for youth and adults. In her nearly 30-year ministry career she serves the City of Houston and surrounding areas through disaster relief efforts having rebuilt 3-churches in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Nome, TX and Anahuac, TX and restored several residential properties along the way from Houston to Beaumont, TX. Her heart and passion for people continues as she guides others to strive to be the best possible version of themselves personally and professionally.
She is a servant leader having served as Pastor, Chaplain, Church Planter, and Minister of Christian Education on the sacred-side of her life; and as a Professor of College Readiness, Dean of Career Programs, and College Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs within the City Colleges of Chicago system on the academic-side of her life. Dr. Jacquie has five earned degrees in the areas of Marketing & Management, Christian Education, Higher Education Technology and Leadership, Communication, and Religion & Biblical Studies. She is a sought after speaker, Master Coach Trainer, and author. Hood Martin is an ordained minister of 29-years under the leadership of Dr. Ralph Douglas West, Houston, TX where she served as the first female staff pastor for over a decade. She is currently the Director of Discipleship and Ministry Formation at the historic First Baptist Church of Vienna, VA.
She is an active and financial member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a Charter member of the Loudoun County (VA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and is the Chairwoman of the Sunday of Hope Advisory Council for St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. Dr. Jacquie is married to Roland S. Martin, host of the daily digital news show #RolandMartinUnfiltered, and co-founder with her husband of the Black Star Network available on your streaming apps and television platforms.
Vetonya Taylor was born in Houston, Texas. She is a Wife and Mother of 4 children, 3 girls and one boy. She has been married for 30 1/2 years. She has been a Pastor’s Wife for 15 years. She received an Associate Degree in Early Childhood from Houston, Community College and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of Houston. She currently serves as the President of the Praise choir and assist and supports all Ministries at her church as needed.
